Well it's been over a year since my last update....So much for keeping up on it. It's been quite a year though....Lots of familiar work like Poppins, and Wicked (both on the road, and happily subbing for my good friend Paul Viapiano back at the Pantages!). I love subbing for Paul largely because it means two things: One, I get to play with many of my favorite players here in town, and Two, I get to hear Paul do his thing when I go in and audit. For those of you that have never had the pleasure....It's a thing!

I also had the great honor of playing with the LA Philharmonic under Esa-Pekka Salonen. We premiered the prologue to a recently uncovered Shostakovich opera called "Orango". It was staged by Peter Sellars and I got to play BANJO!!!! I was very happy to get that call! It was a lot of fun!

Other than that, there were a few sessions here and there, and some fun pop stuff, and all the usual freelance stuff!

On a personal note, I got married last month! My wife had been doing quite a bit of road work as well last year, but we're both home now and enjoying just being here and fixing the house up!

Maybe this year I'll be more diligent about posting....but I won't hold my breath!

Happy 2012 everyone!

Well I've decided to start posting News updates so here's the first one:

I'm just finishing up my last week on the road with the hit Broadway show Mary Poppins. I've been out with this show on and off for the last year, so I'm looking forward to getting home and staying there for a while!

I also subbed for a few weeks on the National Tour of Wicked back in Oct./Nov. It was nice to play that show again! It's always a blast and the drummer (Romano Di Nillo) on this tour is KILLIN!

I did play a fun concert in Dec. subbing for Ken Rosser on Elvis Schoenberg's Orchestre Surréal in Santa Monica. Great book and some great players!

Hopefully I'll remember to update this page....so stay tuned....I think...

Happy New Year
